I’ve noticed a certain shift in relationships once the titles change. Like when you’ve transitioned from the “just talking/considering each other” phase to a full blown “I want you to myself, you’re mine” relationship …things get different. People get more possessive, controlling, emotionally overwhelming, etc. Not that these are necessarily bad things, just those I prefer not to deal with.

I just wish everything could be as cool as it is in the beginning.

There’s a difference between having a real relationship and just being together because that’s all you’re used to. There’s a difference between meaning your “i love yous” and just saying them every night because “that’s what you do.” There’s a difference between being together and wanting to be together. I’d want a relationship, not a routine.
